My funny little valentine you are SUCH a delight! This month, you went back to “school” and much to our relief you LOVE it! At last! We took a break for a couple of month because you had such separation anxiety when we would drop you off and the school doesn’t believe in “cry it out” so it was setting up a traumatic cycle for us all. With a little time to reminisce on the fact that you actually like hanging out with other littles, and us talking up the aspect of how cool it is to be brave, this time around went MUCH smoother. Whew! Now you hardly look our way with a cheerful :bye!” as we drop you off. This has been really hard for your dad, but I appreciate you flexing your independence. It seems like the adding school to your routine has really caused your little personality to shine even more… it’s amazing to witness your charm and wit blossom more each day. SO precious! We hung with Grayson and auntie Sarah almost every weekend, and even hung out with her mom Mary Jane before she headed back to Italy. You guys are like two peas in a pod and really know how to wind each other up! We explored the Coldwater Canyon park playground and the double swings, had a picnic in the park and you tried to feed the bunny sculptures, very concerned they weren’t getting enough to eat! We also attended the tribute for Maria Cozzi, one of Grandma Bev Sue’s dear friends who passed away unexpectedly late last year. She was such a kind woman, a truly beautiful soul, who has sent you some pretty sweet clothes over these last couple of years, mostly from Italy. She threw you a “grandma shower” at her home when you were a few months old and was always so generous and thoughtful… she even sent you an email here! I admire that woman and the smiles she inspired in all who knew her. I put one of the little dresses she sent you on you to honor her, and you helped spread a little joy at the celebration of life. I’m glad we were able to attend. Other than that, the month just zoomed past, but like I’ve said before, I guess we are just set to warp speed now so I’ll try to get used to it. Happy Valentines day, to the sweetest little love of my life. Muah!
