And with November, the holiday season has begun! In the years right before you, I lost touch with my holiday cheer… it all just seemed like too much fuss. With the addition of you though, it warms my heart to see the seasons of giving, thanks and cheer through young eyes. It’s all sparkly and new, and I am excited at the thought of providing warm memories for you. Thank you dear girl for breathing that spirit back to life! November seems like it was busy cuz’ mamma is tired! And I guess it was… first, we celebrated Daddy’s birthday with a family day and a big carrot cake… I think that was your favorite part. The, you were the “flower girl” in Auntie Micaela’s wedding. She asked me to sing a song for their special moment, and while you heard me practicing around the house, the moment I started singing at the wedding you burrowed your face in my skirt and started to cry “NO MOMMY NOOOOOOOO!”. I tried to power through, but the more i sang, the louder your cried. That will teach me to mess with your nap time! Luckily, they had a good sense of humor and said something about it adding “character” to the moment. whew! You attended your 2nd baby shower (for Mina & Lamonica… the first shower you attended was Grayson’s!), and loved the swing chairs they had in their yard more than anythinmg. We also had our usual weekly Sunday outings to the farmer’s market to visit daddy and then to Grammy Bev Sue’s for dinner. Tia Marla, Roman & Reyes, Auntie Sarah & Grayson crashed one of those Sunday dinners and you had a blast with all the togetherness. Grammy Bev Sue, Grammy Connie, Auntie Cedra, Auntie KC, Uncle Juan, Xavion & Hasina and Matt all came over for Thanksgiving. It was A LOT of food, and you had the best time with Xavion & Hasina. At one point, I asked you a question and you looked at me with an annoyed look on your face and said “I’m just talking to the people mama!”. And so you were. I had the brilliant idea to have you and Grayson make holiday cookies, so we headed off to Auntie Sarah’s with all the fixings and while you guys definitely enjoyed yourself, you seemed to dig making a mess with the sprinkles and batter more than the actual cookies! You are blossoming into a hug-ee little social butterfly and it is the cutest. I hope your sweet pure spirit shines bright always in this big ol’ world. You bring smiles to many faces and it is such a gift to witness. Happy November my love!
