It’s September 2020… HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!! I cannot believe you are 3. Be still my heart this time is moving faaaaaaasssst. We weren’t going to do a party because #Covid but decided at the last minute that this party won’t stop for nobody! Sooo… queue the petting zoo! and the unicorn sprinkler! and the unicorn cake! and the mini jeep! Now, add some littles! Now that’s what I call a birthday! You had the best time living your best life with your best buds. Daddy got you a mini-jeep replica to match Mommy’s and you were tickled pink! I would say he is going to spoil you a little my darling so brace yourself for what’s to come LOL! I found a petting zoo that could be brought to the house so we didn’t have to go out and mix & mingle with the public in this pandemic and you were so sweet and gentle with those little creatures. In addition to your Grammies Bev Sue & Connie, Your best friend AJ from Playgroup and his sister Karina came, as did Elle & Eva, the daughters of one of Daddy’s best friends and Grayson even happened to be in town with Auntie Sarah. You guys played your hearts out, cuddled animals, swung on swings, ran through the sprinkler, broke open the pinata and inhaled cake. It was a giggle-ee, scream-ee, sugar-rush-ee palooza and I am so delighted that we could celebrate you in this way. I was super nervous to have everyone over because of the pandemic and felt ok originally because all was supposed to be outside and masked up, but it happened to be 100 + degrees and everyone eventually gave up and headed inside with the A/C for the cake. I held my breath for 14 days after the party hoping we didn’t have a super-spreader event and… we didn’t! Whew! Other than your birthday, you also started in-person school again at Playgroup. They are super cautious, school is held outside, the kids are kept spaced out, masked up, no toy sharing, and temperatures are checked hourly. It’s the safest it can be I guess… makes me nervous to send you, but you NEEDED the interaction with other kids and are SO very happy since you began. It does my heart well. Fingers crossed it remains a safe space for the duration of this pandemic. In other news, we spent a lot of time at the beach on Sundays because the weather is still lovely this time of year, and still go on our neighborhood walks. We even got out and explored Turtle Pond in Franklin Canyon… you were more enamored with the Ducks than the Turtles but didn’t want to leave in any case. Despite the world being locked down, you are living your best lift and that makes my heart so happy.
