You’re grown now little bean… or so it feels as I contrast your busy, motion-filled independence with the sweet, still, dumpling state you were in a sliver over one year ago. You are amazing. A breath of pure fresh air at the end of each day when i return home from work. You love to laugh. You love to be chased as you crawl around the house… you shriek in delight when you hear my footsteps closing in. You read to yourself and it is the most adorable thing ever. You love the cornbread grandma Connie makes, and you LOVE your Dad.
This month you learned to stand alone, all on your own and took your first pee in a potty. You learned to open the bottom drawer in the kitchen and revel in taking out ALL the things and putting them back. You met your great Aunt Angela ( my father’s sister) and you explored your upper vocal range in public whenever you got the chance. You splashed around in Grandma BevSue’s pool, and explored her rooftop deck for the last time this season. You are so incredibly curious…and love your sweet look of concentration and determination as you dig in to figure out all the things. My little explorer, daddy’s girl and mamma’s cuddle bug… you grow more wondrous with each passing day. You are so loved little one. Thank you again for choosing us.
